Horseback Riding Tour
Guanacaste is cattle ranching country, and a horseback ride through the forests, pastures, and to the beaches of Guanacaste lets you experience the land and the scenery as locals have known it for generations. Your guide will point out interesting birds, howler monkeys, iguanas, and any other wildlife you may encounter on your ride. The trek will take you to the beach and then back into the shade of the lush forests.
Horseback rides are scheduled either in the morning or in the late afternoon. One reason for this is that morning and sunset are the times animals are most active and you are most likely to see monkeys swinging through the trees or have an iguana dash across the trail in front of you. Another reason is that humans and horses enjoy the tour more when it isn’t taking place under the heat of the midday sun.
