Playa Avellanas

Avellanas Beach offers three incredible surf opportunities: the first is “Little Hawaii,” which is located directly in front of the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club, and where rights and lefts roll all day long.

Head a little bit south, and you’ll hit the river mouth, which delivers right and left point breaks that curl off the mouth of the estuary. If you’re looking for something a little tamer – warning: not that tame!—then you will enjoy the Avellanas Beach break, home to hollow rights and lefts.

Playa Langosta

A little to the north of Hacienda Pinilla Costa Rica, Playa Langosta offers a few additional and world-class surf spots: at the Langosta river mouth you’ll catch right and left point breaks, fueled by the estuary mouth. Or test your mettle at Langostas “Cape Town,” a right and left point break known for its hollow waves.
